Giant Sensory Jigsaw
To celebrate World Autism Day on Sunday 2nd April our Monday Bucks Heroes drop-in has been developed in partnership with TalkBack charity’s expressive art group who offer Autism Support in Buckinghamshire.
We will be making giant sensory jigsaw pieces. Come and enjoy sticking, gluing and shaking sensory and glittery items onto your jigsaw piece. Make one big scene that link together as a family or let your individuality shine through.
Cost: £2.50 per participant
Timings: Anytime between 10am – 3pm (Museum closes at 5pm)

Join us for our Egg-cellent Easter Craft Activities
1. The Wild Escape museum trail and activities: Family challenge with British Wildlife collections around the museum. Families to draw their favourite animal and complete a challenge to write/draw a story (Cartoon strip) of the animal’s escape back to the wild.
2. Eggs-cellent Egg Identification challenge: Families match eggs from our collections with clues and pictures given
3. Hatching eggs craft: Short craft session making a card animal hatching from an egg
Cost: £3.75 per participant for ALL THREE ACTIVITIES TOGETHER

🥚 Saturday 8 April
Easter Egg-Stravaganza Special Event – An afternoon full of family fun with lots to do including:
🥚1.30pm – A special show from the Magical Story Elves – Blossom the Easter fairy is in fairy training and accidentally loses all of the Easter Eggs while practising her magic. The eggs have been scattered around to a variety of different dimensions including the hometown of a famous spider superhero and well-known princess. Can you help The Easter Fairy solve the clues and hunt for the lost eggs before the Easter Bunny returns to find them missing.
Take part in the 40 min interactive show including dancing, bubble catching, magic, party dances and much more. Followed by meet and greet with the characters, photo opportunities and a balloon model for each child.
🥚 Easter bonnet making drop-in workshops
🥚 Easter bonnet parade around the garden with prizes for the most creative!
Bring a picnic and rug to enjoy in our beautiful Victorian walled garden or purchase refreshments from the cafe. We recommend you arrive promptly to ensure you don’t miss any of the activities.
Cost: £8.50 per child for the day (designed for children up to 10 years of age but all welcome. Under 3s and accompanying adults FREE)

Inflatable Brain Activities
Come and enjoy our HUGE Inflatable Brain, you’ll even get to walk inside it! We will also have some self-led brain related activities for you to have a go at within the brain and in the room around it (plasticene brain, pipe cleaner neuron, brain thinking cap!)
Cost: £2.50 per participant
Timings: Anytime between 10am – 3pm (Museum closes at 5pm)

Escape Room AND Inflatable Brain Activities
An AI brain has taken over our science lab in the museum. Can you beat the brain and escape the room?
Immerse yourself in a world of brains, magnets and mind-bending puzzles in this new escape room inspired by real-life neuroscience research. Put your mind to the test as you race against the clock to escape. With each passing second, the AI brain becomes more powerful. Will you be able to uncover the secrets of the brain before time runs out?
Suitable for groups of 2-6 people, aged 6 years+. Each group MUST include at least 1 responsible adult.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your session to receive a brief before your time starts. Each session lasts for 1 hour only. Please arrive promptly to avoid missing any of your session.
This ticket also includes the Inflatable Brain and self led activities which you can do before or after your Escape room experience.Â

Kid’s Lunchboxes
Children will be able to pick and mix from a selection of items to make up their very own lunch box. Choose and purchase from our museum café, there are also paninis and light snacks, hot and cold drinks plus ice creams available to buy.

Make a day of it and visit our exciting exhibition, Your Amazing Brain which has to close 15 April 2023, new galleries plus why not visit the Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery too!

A Discover Pass gives you access to the exhibition and all the rest of the Museum including, Your Amazing Brain and NEW galleries!
