Discover how local volunteers are shaping Buckinghamshire
“In towns, villages, and communities across Buckinghamshire, volunteers are quietly changing lives in ways that rarely make headlines. They don’t seek recognition or reward; they just give their time, their patience, and a bit of themselves.”
This project began as a simple idea: to make volunteering visible by telling real stories, in volunteers’ own words, accompanied by honest, powerful portraits. Not polished case studies or statistics, but people as they are – reflecting the diversity, generosity and humanity that volunteering represents.
At Discover Bucks Museum, an exhibition of the Shout Volunteer project is on display, arranged by Shout project photographer, Christopher Hall, and supported by Pippa Kirkbride, High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, come and see some of Bucks’ finest volunteers and hear their stories.
