A special monthly session for Under 5’s and their parents / carers to enjoy at the museum.
The sessions all start at 10am for 2 hours of fun! Price includes a drink and snack for children.

Thursday 21 March 2024 – Hippo has a Hat
A fun play session for under 5s based on the book Hippo has a Hat. Have fun making your own hat. Take part in our Clothes trail, fun in with our dressing up box and have a go at matching games with clothes.
Thursday 25 April 2024 – Each Peach Pear Plum
A fun play session for under 5s based on the book Each Peach Pear Plum. Have fun making your Hickory Dickory mice. Try and find all the nursery rhymes hidden round the museum and play lots of nursery rhyme inspired games.
From May we will have 2 sessions a month, normally on the 2nd and last Thursday of each month – apart from in July where the 2nd session of the month is on the 18 July due to school holidays.

A fun music themed play session for under 5s based on the book Happy Hedgehog Band. Have fun making a spinning drum, playing with musical instruments and taking part in our musical trail.

A fun picnics and parties themed play session for under 5s based on the book Pass the Jam Jim. Have fun making card donuts on a stick, playing with sand and water trays and taking part in our finger food trail.
