Artwork Exhibition by Chiltern Neuro Centre members

The Angell Art Group is part of the social programme at the Chiltern Neuro Centre and we are delighted to have a selection of their artwork on display in our Community Gallery until 16 November 2025.

The art group was introduced 10 years ago as “Kaleidoscope” but has since taken its name in memory of Carol Angell, the member of staff, who set it up. As an activity within the programme, the art group has been developed to make it available to as many with MS and Neurological conditions as possible and is run by volunteers.

The art group not only allows members to enjoy art and explore their artistic side but provides social interaction, new skills and a wonderful sense of achievement. The benefits of art are well recognised as it is captivating, taking minds off life’s issues, improving physical and cognitive skills, as well as confidence and self-esteem.

The sessions and themes offered may range from work inspired by artists, colour theory, art styles, objects, landscapes or seasons. The artwork produced has gone beyond the group and has also helped raise funds for the centre in Greeting cards, Pop up art weekend exhibition, recipe book and general marketing.

Our Art is creative and therapeutic – it provides ‘time out’, a wellbeing and moments of joy.
