We’re celebrating 30 years of imagination, laughter and family adventures and we want you to be part of the story!
Since opening in 1996, the Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery at Discover Bucks Museum has welcomed generations of children and families. Perhaps you visited as a child yourself, remember exploring the Gallery with your school, or have brought your own children or grandchildren to discover its wonderful world. Whatever your connection, we’d love to hear your memories!
To mark the Gallery’s 30th anniversary year in 2027, we’re creating a special anniversary film featuring the people who have helped make the Gallery such a magical place over the years.
Share your story on film
We’re inviting former visitors to join us at Discover Bucks Museum on Saturday 14 November 2026 to record a short filmed interview. We’d love to hear about your visits, your favourite parts of the Gallery, the memories that have stayed with you and what the Gallery means to you today.
You don’t need to prepare anything formal, we’re simply interested in hearing your personal experiences. Whether you have one special memory or many stories to share, your contribution could help us celebrate the Gallery’s place in the hearts of families across Buckinghamshire and beyond.
Selected memories will feature in our special anniversary film, which will be shown as part of the celebrations when our 30th anniversary year launches in February 2027.
How to take part
If you’d like to share your memories on camera, please get in touch with the Discover Bucks Museum team to register your interest and arrange a filming time on Saturday 14 November.

We’d especially love to hear from people who visited the Gallery as children and those who have returned over the years with their own families.
Help us celebrate 30 years of wondercrump adventures and become part of the Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery’s story!
