Bucks Art Weeks 2026

We are excited to be taking part in Bucks Art Weeks, with Discover Bucks Museum being part of the Aylesbury Art Trail.

We will be hosting 8 artists who specialise in a range of different art forms including painting, pottery, ceramics, jewellery and glassware. There are over 40 exhibiting artists and makers to discover across Aylesbury throughout the week running from Saturday 13 June to Sunday 21 June. Here’s an overview of the artists whose work you can find at Discover Bucks Museum:

Fenella Mowbray

Fenella hand builds sculptures for placement both outdoors and inside the home, and makes slip decorated wheel thrown bowls and cups. She enjoys mixing lively, gestural mark making with clean lines. She likes layering clay slips, oxides and glazes to create depth and also enjoy the process of taking away clay, revealing what is beneath, allowing form to emerge.

Her work is interested in the elemental in terms of what is essential or fundamental but also pertaining to the great forces of nature. Her aim is to engage fully with their materials and respond to them imaginatively and energetically, hoping that the outcome will have integrity and authenticity.

Jean Pierre de Rosnay

Jean Pierre de Rosnay is a self-taught artist based in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. Working mainly in oils, his paintings explore the human form, emotive moments and the majesty of horses. His work, while deeply personal, aims to capture moments that resonate with our shared human experience.

Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Jean Pierre’s early passions for drama and literature led to a career path in teaching and lexicography. This rich background in language and narrative now informs his painting, as he translates stories and emotions into compelling visual art.

Chloe Romanos

Chloe Romanos is a French jewellery designer and maker, based in Oxfordshire. Her training in archaeology and her fascination for art and crafts has inspired her to learn about transforming metals and combining different materials to create little poetic keepsakes.

Each creation has a story behind it, from feathers and wings inspired by Art Nouveau to textured effects used to capture the weathered aspect of ancient archaeological treasures dug up from the ground.

Using traditional silversmithing techniques, she hand-crafts all her creations from her home studio. She works with precious materials: sterling silver, 9ct gold, and gemstones.

Izabela Rocks

Izabela Rocks is a slow-made jewellery studio rooted in craft, care and individuality. Each piece is designed and handcrafted by Izabela in Berkshire, using traditional crochet techniques combined with fine wire, silk threads and carefully chosen natural gemstones.

The brand grew from a lifelong connection to making. Raised in a home where creativity was part of everyday life, Izabela learned early on that handmade objects carry more than function, they hold time, attention, and meaning. Sewing, knitting, and crochet were not hobbies but acts of care, repair, and self-expression, passed down through generations of women who valued quality and longevity over speed.

Fiona McMillan

Fiona McMillan is an artist and teacher who uses mainly oil, gouache, and graphite to describe and imagine the landscape around us. She studied painting at St Martin’s School of Art and went on to study for an MA at the Royal Academy Schools, London, a time that was invaluable to forming her own artistic practice. After training to become a teacher Fiona has wide experience working with young children and encouraging their innate disposition to be creative.

Alison Vincent

Alison Vincent hand-creates statement glass art inspired by her sailing and diving encounters in remote wild nature using hot furnace glass and dramatic techniques. She has a passion for being in extreme wildernesses – especially Antarctica and the Arctic – with mountains, sea life and ice – or far-flung islands with ocean life.

Alison combines 2,000-year-old techniques with her own unconventional methods which are part of her overall enjoyment. She loves shaping liquid glass into unique sculptures and enjoys the clarity, refraction and magnification.

Suzanne Raffellini

Suzanne is a glass artist based in Buckinghamshire, and her journey into the world of glass art began in 2003. She creates beautiful, bespoke glass art and loves sharing her craft with others through workshops that cover both traditional lead work and more experimental fused glass techniques.

Emma Przygrodzka

Emma Przygrodzka is a ceramic artist. Her art has a slow, contemplative and patient style. Her ceramics have a distinct quiet strength in their forms and textures.
