Enjoy a family session learning how to make natural paints with artist Harsha. Set in our courtyard it will be full of fun & may be a little messy!

The Tree of Life has unifying presence in almost all the cultures around the world. We all have our own stories around it. In this workshop we will start by listening to stories by Harsha and try physical movements based around this theme. Taking inspiration from what we have understood, we will then delve into mindful art by reinventing the Tree of Life as our Family Tree and painting our family on it using natural colours and tools. Each workshop lasts for two hours and is open to only 4 family groups – which can include different generations to work together with our wonderful local Buckinghamshire artist Harsha to explore their own family stories. This workshop is the first in a series of workshops run as part of the Bucks Heroes Project. We are finding out ‘Who is the Hero in your family. It supports sharing everyday stories within families especially between older relatives and children. Please look out for our summer storytelling project to take part in at home and our next celebratory event on the 2nd October which is the Silver Sunday Storytelling bonanza. All ages welcome.

The workshop takes place at the following times

29th July 2022 10.15-12.15pm and 1.30-3.30pm

Places are limited to 4 families per session, so please book your slot. A family slot can have up to 6 people, and must contain 1 adult. We could recommend participants wear old clothes they don’t mind getting messy.

This activity is FREE but you must book your slot.
