We have created events for schools taking part in the project and families to enjoy over the Easter holidays.
SCHOOLS: Monday 17th April- Friday 19 May 2023:
The Wild Escape Museum Wildlife Explorers Trail
We are taking part in the national project to engage children and young people with British wildlife. Any school taking part in The Wild Escape will be eligible to book a FREE hour-long self-led visit to the museum (subject to availability). Take your class on a quest around the museum to find the British wildlife collections, use it as inspiration for work back in class or book one of our wildlife-themed paid workshops to make a day of it! To enquire or book, please email email@example.com,
Are you a parent / carer who would love their child to have the above opportunity? Please do share this page with your child’s teacher as we want as many schools as possible to take part.
FAMILIES: Monday 3 April – Friday 7th April:
The Wild Escape Museum Wildlife Explorers Trail and Activities
Join us this Easter for The Wild Escape. We are taking part in the national project to engage children and young people with British wildlife. We will be adding in events during school holidays in April alongside other fun things to do. Go on a quest around the museum to find the British wildlife collections, choose your favourite and write a story of the animal’s escape back into their original wild habitat. To book, please see our Easter holiday event pages.
Earth Day, 22 April 2023: Launch of collective artwork.
The pictures that children have created in their workshops and activities will be brought to life in an epic-scale artwork, created by leading immersive games studio Preloaded, to be unveiled on Earth Day 2023, Saturday 22 April.
The Wild Escape is made possible by lead support from Arts Council England’s National Lottery Project Grants, with additional support from Art Fund and a group of generous individuals and trusts.
