Visiting the Vaults – Online

New date: Saturday 25th September 11am – 12noon

We regret that due to staff sickness we are unable to offer our planned webinar Visiting the Vaults Online for Heritage Open Days on Sunday 12 September.

Instead we are pleased to offer the same session on Saturday 25 September 11 am – 12 pm. Please look out for more details on this page nearer the time on how to join us.

Join our Keeper of Archaeology, Brett Thorn, behind the scenes at the museum stores as he “zooms” through time, showing and discussing a few personal favourite objects from the archaeology collection. The talk will last around 30 mins, followed by a 15 min live Q&A session. Free, book now.

The talk will take place via webinar, if you would like to donate to Discover Bucks Museum for the talk please do so below, otherwise, simply check back here at 11am (or just before) and click on the link.

We look after an extensive collection of objects telling the story of Bucks people and landscapes from 200 million years ago to today, as well as some objects from around the world. Check out our curator’s highlights here.

Heritage Open Days is England’s largest festival of history and culture. Every September, thousands of volunteers across England organise events to celebrate history and culture. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences for free! You can find further information on the festival on the Heritage Open Days website
